The machine gun shoot at Cheyenne Wells was a blast (Dynamite and explosives) a fly over (several times) by a few military fighter planes I’m not sure what they were. The weather on Friday, Saturday and Sunday was corporative, a little breezy at times but comfortable.

For those who have not heard we are a CLASS 3 dealer. We are starting to receive a few silencers in and we have some transfers in the works. Let help you with your CLASS 3 paperwork and transfer.

Up and coming June 1, 2010 and again June 8, 2010 we will have Bruce Nosline from the Friends of the N R A in the store from 4:00 PM till 6:30 PM offering for sale the 2011 “Girls and Guns” calendar, we will be providing coffee, soda’s and cookies to munch on. Come by and join us.

SOMETHING NEW IN THE STORE:

We will be offering a new paper in the area called “The Constitutionalist Today”. This new paper has a more conservative take on issue. So far everything I have read has actually been backed up with documentation to support the article.

We are not sure of the dates yet, but we will be taking a week to 10 days vacation to spoil the grandkids. For the most part we will be available by phone and e-mail. We will post the dates when we get them set.

A final note Kathy and I would like to thank all the families, Parents, Wife, children, and friends who have lost their love ones in the protection of our country. If I have left out any one my apologies and my thanks.

It’s been well over a year since the election of President Barack Obama functioned as a clarion call to gun owners across America. Many began stocking up on ammo and purchasing firearms they’d long put off for other priorities. Now it seems that the sense of urgency has waned (or the folks most concerned have finished stocking up) and more ammo is appearing on the shelves of local stores. I hope this does not mean that folks are any less concerned about the administration’s policies or that we’re being lulled into a sense of security.

Opponents would love to point out the administration’s desire to ban guns is not a priority and that we have seen no effort to restrict the right to keep and bear arms, so we have nothing to worry about. I disagree, and so does Sarah Palin in her Facebook post on her comments at the NRA annual meeting. She is notably being misquoted by the mainstream media, so watch the video for yourself and help provide rumor control to your neighbors.

The anti-incumbent sentiments throughout the country are well-deserved because they haven’t been listening to us for a long time now. But if you choose to vote for a challenger to your Congressman or Senator, look carefully at their views. The votes may not there in Congress today, but if they were the administration and progressives would be slipping in any and every restriction they could dream up.

Progressive priorities may not allow for restrictive firearms bills to come to the fore now, but they will eventually and we need to stand strong against them with our votes now.

For those who will be able to go to the Cheyenne Wells machine gun shoot this week-end. Below are some of the rental prices, admission fee and directions. We will be set up with hearing protection for both humans and our four legged friend’s. I’m not sure about what toys we are taking with us.

From East of Colorado: Take I-70 west to Burlington, CO (exit 437). Go south on hwy 385 to Cheyenne Wells. Go west on hwy 40 about 12 miles to Firstview. At shoot signs, go north 4.5 miles on CR-34 to intersection with CR-V.

With the white stuff disappearing and (we hope) soon the winds will die down it is time to once again to start planning our summer machine gun shoot’s. The first one Kathy and I will be at is Cheyenne Wells April 31, May 1 & 2. We will have our hearing protection set up so you will be able to hear when you get home. We are also introducing a new product for our furry friends called Mutt Muffs. These are ear muffs made to fit our four legged friends, invented by a pilot for her companion while in the noisy cockpit of a plane. They are well tolerated and work well for shooting. We will also have our AR and a short barrel MP-5 with silencer on the line for rent. We hope the winds will die down and there will be no snow that week end.

We will be having a reloading class starting Monday October 19, starting at 6:00 PM and a First Step pistol class Friday Oct 23, at 9:00 AM. Both classes will be at our store at 6225 McCandlish Road.

Summer is just about over and it looks like the fall Fort Morgan, CO Machine Gun Shoot has been canceled. As I understand it the state has pulled the recreational lease from the farmer that was allowing the shoot to take place. REMEMBER at this time I have very little information as to the why’s and wherefore’s. I know that there are plans to find a new location. When the next shoot will be is unknown at this time.

The shoot at Casper, WY although a ways away is well worth the drive, not only for the machine guns the you are able to shoot, but the Saturday night fireworks are some of the best I have seen. Next year I understand that there might be some reenactment fighting going on. What a blast.

As we get more information on upcoming machine gun events we will post them.

We now have Ruger LCP magazines with the extension for the pinky. We also have a new shipment of powder and a few Remington small rifle primers.

For those who are interested we will be co-sponsoring a health care debate with Michael Medved and Thom Hartman on KZNT 1460.

The debate will be on Friday September 11, 2009 from 3 pm to 4 pm. Tune in and listen to this fast moving debate covering townhall meeting, protest and press and media coverage.

This bill keeps rearing its ugly head and it does need to be stopped once and for all, If you what to keep your rights under the Constitution that our forefathers gave us this bill must be stopped.

This bill gives a bureaucrat power that does belong to him or an elected official for that matter. The AG will have power to choose who can and cannot own a firearm with no appeal for the victim.

Veterans and past military will be the first to lose their firearms. Who will be next?

Check out the info below and call you elected officials.

1. Denies citizens the right to bear arms even if they haven’t been convicted of any crime(s).

2. Violates the Second Amendment. (The Second Amendment states that “the right of the people to keep and bear arms…shall not be infringed.”) This is infringement.

3. Violates the Sixth Amendment (“…The accused shall…be confronted with the witnesses against him.”)

4. Is wide open for abuse of power. There is a built-in catch-all for FID and FFL seizures and denials – “in the interest of national security.”

5. Violates, most importantly, the spirit of the Constitution! It gives an imbalance of power to an unelected official!

I urge everyone to call their Congressmen and Cogresswomen and tell them that you oppose this bill based on one or two of the above points.

In the cloudy mist of a major ammo shortage it is interesting to note that the Big Mart has had a constant supply of the cheap ammo. They buy direct from some manufactures by-passing our distributor, in turn the small shop owners. Meaning we are stuck with buying the higher priced ammo or do with out. I find this rather disturbing as I can not find ammo fo my own shooting. Still looking for a cheap 410 reloader.

Are we to believe that the changes in our laws and listening to the squealing rats as they constantly gnaw away our God given rights of self-protection and protection of Americas values. If we continue to turn a blind eye I can imagine the slippery spines of Americans will quiver with fear some day make every American Citizen subjects and slaves to tyranny without hope, living only by the crumbs scraped off the table of their master.
